Across Europe in the mountains there has been a lack of representation of African and Afro-Caribbean communities. Although interest in winter sports continues to grow, there are still very few cultural experiences that genuinely reflect the identities, music, cuisine and traditions of these communities. Most winter events focus on skiing or partying. Very few create a true sense of belonging. Culture is often left behind. We believe it deserves a place in the mountains.

Afro Ski N Brunch exists to create a space where culture is not left behind when we enter the mountains. For too long, winter sports and mountain destinations have felt distant or unfamiliar to many within the African and Afro-Caribbean diaspora. We believe these spaces should reflect the diversity of the communities that enjoy them. We are building a cultural home in the mountains.

We envision a future where seeing African and Afro-Caribbean communities in the mountains is no longer seen as something unusual. A future where artists dream of performing at Afro Ski N Brunch. Where African gastronomy has its place in the Alps. Where culture travels with us, wherever we go. We are building more than an annual festival. We are creating a global cultural destination where people from the four corners of the world come together to enjoy the ski & their culture.
